What We Do
The Friends of Ickenham Hall raise money for work on Ickenham Hall. We also decide on work priorities, organise and oversee working projects.
Recent News:
After many years of on-going fund raising and grants, we completed the exterior painting and restoration of the windows of Ickenham Hall. In mid 2016 the team raised enough funds to re-floor one of the front rooms of the Hall. In August 2016, the Main Front door of the hall also had a re-paint.
We now are looking at what is required to be done inside the building. The list of projects we could do are enormous.
Other Recent work includes:
Over the past few years the Friends of Ickenham Hall have had one room re-decorated, and more of the outside windows and doors re-painted. This work also included the guttering and porch area of the kitchen that overlooks the car-park.
The Friends have also given the rooms of Ickenham Hall new plaques which represent what the room would have been used for in its former life when the Hall was actually lived in. This includes the Dining Room, Drawing Room, the Morning Room to name a few. This also lead nicely into being able to produce a self-guided tour with leaflets giving a short description about each room. Download this self-guided tour from our
Literature page.

Fund Raising
The funds for most of the work carried out comes from fund raising events and grants.
We have been very fortunate in obtaining a grant towards the cost of the garden restoration. This was from the Heathrow Project in conjunction with Groundwork Thames Valley. We also obtained a substantial grant from the London Borough of Hillingdon. This grant went towards the cost of the front door and windows.
We raise funds from a series of special
events including Murder Mystery evenings, Quiz Nights and Open Days at the theatre.
